| The TradeReady® Stud for interior and load-bearing exterior conditions has the same general "C" shape as stud members used in commercial construction. However, the web possesses pre-punched holes that accept Carlon® Electrical Products' blue non-metallic electrical boxes. These holes are strategically placed to correctly position outlet boxes and switch boxes. Single or multiple gang boxes are easily attached by pushing the nails through the holes and are secured by using clips on the inside of the stud. With precision, the box protrudes 1/2" from the stud flange, so it is flush with the attached gypsum board. By placing a grommet in the larger circle, wiring can be run from stud to stud without the need to drill holes that wood framing requires. A tie down hole permits the electrician to secure the wires entering the Carlon® electrical box. This method of connecting electrical boxes is UL® approved and significantly reduces assembly time. | |
