DESCRIPTION

The TradeReady® SPAZZER®* 9200 Bar provides deflection at the head track of
metal stud walls and eliminates the bow that occurs in the middle
of tall interior studs. The 9200 is a 20 gauge bar that is 50" long
and is pre-notched to rigidly hold studs on 12", 16" and 24"
centers. These slots are pre-engineered to hold studs in place by
utilizing a new concept in bridging. Until now, deflection at the
head track was accomplished with slotted head tracks, double head
tracks, proprietary profile head tracks, the use of a metal strap
across the face of the studs or by fastening the studs to the top
track and removing the screws later.
The TradeReady® SPAZZER®* Bar is simply passed through the stud punchouts, rotated
90 degrees, and then the pre-notched slots are seated down over the
web of the stud, holding them in place without the use of the head
track. The TradeReady® SPAZZER®* Bar is fed through the knockouts with the
sloped sides of the pre-notched slots entering first. The 9200 accepts
25, 22, 20 and 18 gauge studs.
Contractors can
save up to 40% in labor and materials costs by eliminating the cost
of custom made head tracks and the time required to fasten and remove
screws or layout stud spacing at the deck. Hanging drywall is also
faster and easier with the TradeReady® SPAZZER®* 9200 Bar because it eliminates
the bow in tall studs.
These cost savings
are accomplished by:
 |
eliminating
high material cost of custom made head tracks. |
 |
eliminating
time required to layout stud spacing at the deck. |
 |
eliminating
time required to fasten and remove screws in the head track. |
 |
eliminating
the need for welding equipment and skilled welders. |
 |
improved
drywall hanging when the bow is removed from tall studs. |
The most important
feature is the pre-notched slots of the TradeReady® SPAZZER®*
Bar. The gripping power of the resilient tabs at these
slots facilitates the rapid erection of studs into a rigid gridwork,
unattached to the head track.

A new concept saving significant time and money on old tasks.
